Social Impact Bonds (SIBs)
Our experience in Social Impact Bonds
Social Impact Bonds (SIBs) are mechanisms designed to channel financial resources into social programs with effective results, under a Payment-by-Results model. In an SIB model, an investor provides the funding for an appropriate operator to implement an intervention pathway that addresses a problem, and receives a return from the results payer (typically a government or donor) once the social or environmental objectives of the SIB are achieved.
At Inversor, we believe in the role of coordinating different stakeholders to strengthen and ensure the process.

Inversor has been involved since 2017, as an intermediary, in 3 out of 4 SIBs in Colombia, all of them focused on job placement, with successful outcomes and countless lessons.
We work through an intervention route with populations facing significant barriers to opportunities, such as youth, women, Afro-Colombians, victims of armed conflict, and those living in poverty and extreme poverty. National and local governments, along with international cooperation entities, serve as co-investors.
